Subject matter expert in EU, UK and US export controls regulatory requirements and obligations.
Provide guidance to the business on import and export laws and regulations, including sanctions compliance, anti-boycott, deemed export, technology transfer, licensing, permits, end-use verification, duty drawback, origin & preferences, free trade agreements, product classification (HTS and ECCN), ADD and other tariff measures, customs valuation, recordkeeping, etc.
Developing and implementing global, regional, and national corporate policies, procedures, and practices to ensure full compliance with applicable international trade law.
Conducting online and in-person trade compliance training for key functional areas within the organization.
Conducting and supporting regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with trade regulations (internal departments and external trading partners such as distributors, customs agents, freight forwarders, warehouses, etc.). Developing recommendations for corrective actions and improvements.
Advising on obtaining and managing certifications for supply chain security programs (AEO, C-TPAT, etc.).
