Director of Human Resources- Full Time
Location: Salisbury, MD
Salary Range: $110,000–$140,000 annually
Schedule: 4 day, 36-hour work week — Monday through Thursday
Position Summary
As the Director of Human Resources at HealthPort, you will develop innovative recruitment strategies, collaborate with hiring managers, ensure seamless candidate experience, and increase staff retention. Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations
2. Oversee the daily workflow and supervision of the HR department
3. Create and implement effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals
4. Collaborate with leadership to determine future staffing needs and create long-term hiring plans, rather than just reacting to open roles
5. Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates to determine their suitability for specific roles
6. Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
7. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the organization’s employer brand to attract top talent
8. Present job offers and facilitates the offer acceptance process
9. Use HRIS technology to analyze hiring efficiency, reducing the time-to-hire and increasing quality of hire
10. Collaborate with HR staff and program managers to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires
11. Implement employee engagement strategies to increase employee morale and retain top talent
12. Analyze turnover data to understand trends and identify specific departments or roles with high attrition
13. Leverage AI to aid in accelerating talent acquisition, improving workforce planning, and streamlining administrative processes
14. Conduct stay interviews to proactively increase employee retention and engagement
15. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to continually optimize the HR department
16. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws
17. Other duties as assigned by the CHRO
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in human resources and/or equivalent experience. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential required
2. A minimum of two years of human resource management and benefit experience required
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
