Position: Assistant Girls Soccer Coach
Location: North High School
Start Date: August 2026
Season: August to October
Compensation: Per the teacher labor agreement contract
Work Year: 2026-2027 School Year
Position Overview:
North High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Girls Soccer Coach to assist the head coach in leading our program with an education-based and transformational coaching philosophy. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes growth, sportsmanship, and excellence both on and off the field.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Assist in organizing and overseeing the Girls Soccer program, including practices, games, and team-building activities
2. Promote a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all student-athletes
3. Communicate effectively with players, parents/guardians, and coaching staff
4. Model integrity, accountability, and professionalism consistent with the mission and values of North High School
Required Qualifications:
1. Experience in girls' soccer, either as a competitive player or coach
2. Demonstrated experience working with high school-aged students
3. Availability for after-school practices, weekday games, and occasional Saturday events
4. Knowledge of MSHSL policies, soccer strategy, skill development, and training techniques
6. Strong leadership, organizational skills, interpersonal, and communication skills
7. Understands education-based athletics
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Previous high school coaching experience
2. Competitive playing experience at the high school and/or collegiate level
