Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join our team and drive the growth of our clients’ products within the Gas and Convenience sector.

In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing product visibility, managing distribution, executing merchandising strategies, and supporting key sales initiatives. Working closely with the Regional Lead, you will focus on achieving sales targets while building and maintaining strong relationships with retail customers.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Store Calls & Coverage

  • Organize and manage consistent coverage of assigned retail accounts (grocery, drug stores, mass merchandisers, convenience stores)
  • Ensure all customers are visited according to the established frequency model

Selling & Merchandising

  • Apply professional sales techniques and market knowledge to support product listing, placement, and promotion
  • Secure incremental displays and ensure proper shelving
  • Execute pricing and merchandising strategies aligned with client objectives

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock at store level
  • Coordinate product flow from backrooms to shelves to avoid out-of-stock situations

Data & Reporting

  • Enter required data into the BMI 360 platform (distribution tracking, promotional activity, call effectiveness, merchandising)
  • Provide regular feedback to the Regional Lead on field developments, competitive activity, and customer trends

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail decision-makers
  • Act as the main point of contact for merchandising and promotional needs
  • Ensure compliance with client guidelines and expectations

Special Projects & Assignments

  • Participate in meetings, conference calls, and special projects (audits, promotional initiatives, etc.)
  • Support regional and national initiatives as required

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with Brand Momentum and client teams
  • Contribute to both team and individual goals related to sales, distribution, and product visibility

Key Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales and merchandising, ideally within the CPG industry or a similar environment

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Comfortable using web-based platforms for reporting and administrative tasks

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of product categories, brands, and market positioning

Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset, especially in Quebec

Driving Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 15 lbs)

  • Ability to multitask efficiently across different store settings

Travel

  • Daily travel within the assigned territory required
