Reporting to the Manager of IT, Ontario Operations, you will be part of our Regional IT Team. This is a support focused role where creative thinking, interpersonal skills, and broad technical expertise is required. You will have technical ownership for IT and OT Cybersecurity that span across the entire region, satisfy business requirements, and are highly available. As such the you must have a broad technical base spanning IT and OT cybersecurity operation, monitoring technologies and the interconnectivity between them. A background understanding of Active Directory and GPO’s and other Infrastructure related functions will be advantageous. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Respond to alerts from various security monitoring dashboards;
Reviewing Internal and External vulnerability assessment reports for the Ontario region. Follow-ups necessary to ensure security compliance as well as aiding local IT to address these vulnerabilities- This will require hands-on experience with patch management;
Aid in the development of cybersecurity policy including data classification, access controls, security controls, remote access, network access control, security monitoring, auditing and reporting;
Technical proficiency in security-related hardware and software; ability to function as a risk and security consultant to regional IT and OT groups and business partners on security matters as a recognized technical expert;
Receive direction from Global IT Security team to align with global security standards and implementations. Aid in the delivery of these standards within regional sites;
Provide support for the regional infrastructure to a globally distributed team of IT professionals, escalating to vendors when necessary;
Advise and support regional IT staff who are engaged in Infrastructure system upgrades;
Maintain a good working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, operating techniques, and end-user applications used with the Regional and Operational environments.
Bachelor’s degree in computer studies or equivalent work experience;
Excellent technical troubleshooting skills;
Ability to evaluate technical solutions for scalability and fit into existing environment;
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment;
The ability to prioritize, focus and problem solve in a demanding environment;
Mining background is considered an asset;
Ability to travel regionally, with possible extended deployments at each Operational Site when and if required for operational support or project related requirements;
Able to design complex, and highly available security solutions;
Able to work flexible hours;
Able to work in a team environment and independently with minimal direction, and able to succeed in a rapidly changing environment.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office.
Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
