Job Description
Dates of summer school - Monday – Thursday - July 6 – July 30
Staff will have one prep day - July 2, 2025
Site - Lincoln County High School
Certification - must have valid WV Teaching Certificate and Special Education Certification
Teacher work hours – 830-230 pm
Pay - Daily Rate
Essential Job Functions:
1. Plan, implement, and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the ESY program
2. Check and verify student attendance each day.
3. Address student discipline issues using WVDE policy 4373.
4. Communicate with parents/ guardians to address student needs and concerns.
5. Engage in developing project-based and other activities with a particular focus on Math, ELA, and STEM.
6. Ensure the facility is cleaned.
7. Coordinate with district personnel and administrators in developing and implementing assessment strategies to identify student needs and develop corresponding program learning modules to support student needs consistent with school improvement plan goals.
8. Implement technology to enhance student learning.
9. Work collaboratively within the building and throughout the district, to align and partner with existing programs and departments.
10. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
