Compensation for this position will be determined based on a combination of factors, including education, professional certifications, relevant experience, and other job-related considerations permitted by law.

 

Role Overview


The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. This role leads maintenance teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. The position plays a critical role in optimizing equipment performance, reducing downtime, and supporting overall operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead maintenance operations, including planning, prioritization, and execution of maintenance activities across the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, processes, and standard operating procedures to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage maintenance performance through KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and costs.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and finance teams while managing budgets, resources, and union-related activities.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on maintenance or reliability experience with industrial equipment.
  • Experience working in unionized environments and familiarity with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in maintenance and operational settings.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and ensure execution of maintenance activities.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience developing maintenance strategies, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
