We believe that being proudly authentic and determined to be our best is essential to fulfilling our purpose. Yes, our work is incredibly serious and impactful, but we have big ambitions, bring a ton of care to pursuing them, and have a lot of fun while doing so.

Does this inspire you and feel like a fit? Then we would love to have you join us!

The Sr. Director, US Supply Chain Lead is pivotal in ensuring that innovative therapies reach patients across the US without interruption. As a senior leader, you will shape how supply chain strategy enables commercial success and patient impact at scale.

This role is a key member of the broader Global Supply Chain leadership team and acts as a strategic partner to the US Commercial Leadership team. The role also serves as a key escalation point for supply, distribution, and process issues impacting market performance, customer service, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for defining and leading the US commercial supply chain strategy aligned with corporate objectives and portfolio priorities, including long-term distribution and channel strategies that support evolving market access models and patient needs.

  • You will serve as the US Supply Chain voice in the Global S&OP process, influencing decisions on inventory and capacity. You will facilitate forecasting and demand management for the US market by establishing robust demand review processes, aligning forecast assumptions with commercial input, and improving forecast accuracy to support reliable supply, inventory management, and financial planning.

  • You will collaborate closely with Finance on forecasting assumptions, inventory implications, accrual-relevant inputs, budget alignment, and performance follow-up to ensure operational decisions are financially sound and transparent.

  • You will act as a strategic partner to US Commercial Leadership, including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services. You will translate commercial strategy, demand signals, and market events into actionable supply chain plans and provide executive-level insights on supply risks, trade-offs, and scenario planning.

  • You will define and optimize the US distribution network strategy, including 3PLs, wholesalers, specialty distributors, and specialty pharmacies. You will partner closely with Trade to align operational execution with market requirements, channel dynamics, distribution models, and customer needs.

  • You will drive supply chain strategy and readiness for US product launches, indications, and lifecycle expansions. This includes close collaboration with the Corporate Supply Chain Lifecycle Management team to ensure timely launches and delivery to markets, as well as overseeing launch governance and cross-functional alignment at the executive level.

  • You will own US market product availability, service levels, OTIF performance, and inventory performance. You will act as the escalation point for critical supply, service, compliance, and distribution issues impacting the US market and lead cross-functional risk assessment, scenario planning, and mitigation to protect product availability and customer service.

  • You will ensure full compliance with DSCSA, GDP, and all applicable US regulatory requirements. You will work with Quality Assurance to maintain GxP compliance throughout the supply chain network, including exception handling, root cause investigations, CAPA implementation and closure, QMR reporting, and KPI maintenance.

  • You may also be assigned other job duties from time to time.

Requirements

Moreover, you meet the following professional requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred

• 12–15+ years of progressive supply chain experience in biopharma or life sciences

• Significant experience leading US commercial supply chains, including product launches

• Demonstrated leadership experience in US commercial operations

• Deep knowledge of US pharmaceutical distribution models, including wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, and 3PL networks

• Strong understanding of S&OP / IBP processes, demand planning, inventory management, and supply network strategy

• Extensive experience operating within GMP/GDP and DSCSA-regulated environments

• Experience working cross-functionally with Trade, Finance, Quality, and Commercial stakeholders

• Proven ability to lead through complexity, influence senior stakeholders, and drive performance across internal teams and external partners

• Track record of successful multi-product or global launch execution

• Experience with advanced planning systems, such as SAP and Anaplan

• Prior experience in both global and US-focused roles

• Ability to assess operational, financial, and compliance implications across multiple courses of action and determine the most appropriate path forward

• Strong judgment in escalation management, partner oversight, risk mitigation, and prioritization in a fast-changing commercial environment

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
