Role Outline

Co-ordinating the HR needs of an organisation, including the designation of work, employee selection, training and development, rewards, performance assessment and union management relations. Provide specialised services to staff members, and line managers by supporting the processes and systems related to HR management and practices in the following clusters; Recruitment, Industrial Relations, HR Systems, Policies and Procedures, Learning and Development.

Key Tasks

  • Perform HR and training related administrative functions.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation are received by your Superior timeously and accurately (i.e. leave overtime etc.)
  • Ensure HR documentation is provided timeously to maintain records accurately (i.e. Payroll, terminations, recruitment, performance management, AWOL, IOD.)
  • Obtain necessary signatures for all documentation.
  • Update and maintain weekly and monthly KPI's.
  • Maintain proper filing system.
  • Assist with absenteeism management.
  • Liaise with training in assisting with any training needs (i.e. KPI' s record keeping, monitoring etc)
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate HR KPI control.
  • Maintain internal records and statistics relating to the area of your field.
  • Understanding of Road Freight Bargaining Council.
  • Ensure all your work is always done according to relevant procedures.
  • Elevate problems or queries to your line for resolution.
  • Any other reasonable and executable tasks within your vocational ability, assigned by the supervisor.
  • Planning and organising for work, people and HR Management.
  • People acquisition and development utilisation. Recruitment and selection, orientation, job analysis, training and development.
  • Administration and co-ordination of performance management.
  • Contribute to the establishment and improvement of labour and employee relations, Union negotiations, disciplinary and grievance procedure.
  • Administration of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and handle administration related to people processes, HR information systems, compensation.
  • Participate in the implementation and utilisation of equity related processes.
  • Manage and administrate the conditions of employment, Absenteeism, Leave, Educational assistance, etc.
  • Assist in the management and control of the Labour Broker staff.
  • Assist in the management and control of Overtime.

Qualifications & Experience

· Professional HR Qualification.

· 5 years in HR Generalist Role.

· Experience in a Warehousing / Logistics environment.
