Toyota’s Quality Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated and visionary Quality Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide parts responsibility for mass production, supplier enhancement activity lead as well as support Field improvement activity and production support.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Quality Engineering department's objective to provide support and meet quality objectives on TOYOTA MOTOR MANUFACTURING TEXAS (TMMTX) responsible vehicles.

This position is based San Antonio, TX. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own supplier parts quality and help keep production running smoothly

  • Troubleshoot vehicle issues and drive quick, effective solutions

  • Partner with suppliers to manage changes and improve performance

  • Monitor quality trends, escalate concerns, and prevent issues before they grow

  • Support supply chain and production teams to avoid disruptions

  • Lead and contribute to continuous quality improvements (Toyota standards)

  • Create clear reports and share insights with leadership

  • Collaborate across teams to solve problems and strengthen communication

  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an Engineering Discipline

  • Experience in an automotive environment, understand basic datum structure for parts assembly and check fixture measurement, understand basic vehicle functions

  • Experience managing engineering projects 

  • Experience providing engineering process improvements suggestions and recommendations to production 

  • Experience guiding and directing suppliers with engineering support

  • TMMTX Quality Engineering Experience

  • Experience resolving vehicle or supplier quality issues

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office-Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Power BI

  • Valid driver’s record (role requires driving)

Added bonus if you have

  • 2 years or greater experience working in a Quality Engineering Group at TMMTX

  • Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS) / Kaizen

  • Background in vehicle quality or supplier quality operations

  • TBP Completion
