UW Bothell’s School of Business has an outstanding opportunity for Academic Success Coordinator to join their team.

This is a temporary position and is anticipated to continue for up to 12 months. To ensure consideration, apply by June 10, 2026.

About this Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Programs, the Academic Success Coordinator plays an integral role in the coordination and management of undergraduate academic services.  This position provides primary oversight of course waivers and transfer evaluations, pre major admission reviews, faculty coordination, and all application-based courses ensuring consistent policy implementation and a high quality student experience. In addition, the Program Manager serves as a key partner to the Director of Undergraduate Programs in advancing program visibility and enrollment goals through the development of comprehensive marketing and outreach initiatives, including print, video, and web content. The role also manages the execution of high impact events supporting student engagement, career pathways, and external outreach.

 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing, Outreach & Events - 30%

  • In collaboration with the Director of Undergraduate Programs, develop and coordinate undergraduate marketing and recruitment materials, including print and digital collateral, student video interviews and testimonials, and website content updates.

  • Manage catering, scheduling, and logistics for undergraduate events, including career workshops, graduation celebrations, networking events, the Beta Gamma Sigma Induction Ceremony, and other program activities.

  • Support communications and logistics for recruitment events targeting business pre‑majors, including guest speakers, faculty and student panels, and undergraduate open house events.

  • Research and cultivate opportunities to engage with local high schools (e.g., competitions, DECA programming, National Honor Society events) to increase program visibility and build partnerships.

  • Source and manage branded merchandise, working with vendors and tracking inventory and distribution.

Student Services - 25%

  • Manage and process student petitions including transfer courses, course repeat, and equivalency petitions. Communicate with appropriate area coordinators and with central advising on petition outcomes.

  • Manage the updates and submission requirements for Guided Internship, Independent Study, and Business Consulting course applications. Verify materials, ensure all approvals are obtained, and communicate appropriately with students and their advisors.

  • Ensure the proper data collection and reporting for AACSB and University reporting requirements.

  • Triage and answer student questions and elevate to the Director of Undergraduate Program as needed.

Admission – 20%

  • Process and validate pre-major declaration of major forms, including verifying and recording grades, auditing prerequisites, and attending admission committee meetings when needed.

  • Submit change of major forms for applicants who fail to meet prerequisite requirements and manage communications to students and their advisors.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Admissions team as needed to ensure smooth applicant experience.

 Scholarship Management - 15%

  • Process scholarship applications and materials, including downloading applications from the scholarship portal and requesting supplemental information if needed.

  • Communicate with faculty selection committee, financial aid team, and students as needed.

  • Follow up with students on bios, photos, etc. for website and other promotional activities.

Other Tasks - 10%

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or related field.

  • At least two years of experience in a student-facing or student support role such as in program operations, academic services, student services, marketing and communication or related work in a higher education setting.

  • Applicants who do not meet these qualifications WILL NOT be forwarded to the Hiring Manager.

Additional Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills. Strong writing and editing skills.

  • Working knowledge of CRM systems.

  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and other software; ability to learn new software applications.

Working Conditions

  • Typical work schedule is eight hours per day, Monday - Friday, with occasional evening or weekend hours as necessary to support student events.

  • This position will benefit from the telework policies that provide flexibility in work location with a hybrid schedule of in person and remote options.

  • Hybrid schedule of at least three days per week working on the UW Bothell Campus.

About the Team -

The UW Bothell School of Business offers a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, along with four minors that support the education of 1,300+ students across the University of Washington. The Undergraduate Programs Office works collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to advance and support the academic success of students. Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$68,004.00 annual
