What You Will Do:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for implementing actions identified by the operations team. Will work with the Operations team and manufacturing engineers to understand actions that need to be taken and read across to other programs as applicable. This person will support multiple requirements per this SOW. Some of the job responsibilities will be as follows:
- Support the Andon System
- Support all tooling efforts
- Review all calibrated tooling on the production lines and add corresponding data collection to Solumina.
- Support selection, ordering, creating, and programming of the tools for each unique need
- Work to optimize programming and implement the tools on the production floor
- Update Solumina with the correlating data collections for the torque tools and work through data transfer support
- Support any existing tooling issues on the floor and review for optimization
- JIS creation and updating
- PFMEA documentation creation and updating
- Packaging design
- Process plan creation
- Support Test Lab Instruction (TLI)
- Create and review with Operators and Approval Team
- Release in Solumina
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with up to 1 year internship or co-op experience.
- Or associate degree in engineering discipline with 5-7 years manufacturing experience
- 3-4 years of experience in PFMEA development and packaging design experience
- Experience with GD&T a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment but can also be self-directed required
- Due the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen
Pay Range: $75K-$79K
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered 100% on-site position located in Rockford, ILL
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, zero travel is required.
Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
