Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne SEG Field Applications team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, driven US Field Applications Manager who will work collaboratively with the team as well as independently to determine and develop imaginative, thorough, and practical application solutions for a strategic VIP customer. This role owns technical execution, customer engagement, team leadership across complex, global environments, as well as clear communication and status reporting to senior management.
- Lead a team of 15+ Semiconductor Applications Engineers including first line managers and direct reports, primarily located at our Teradyne San Jose & Chandler locations.
- Collaborate closely with global application engineering and sales leadership to drive best practices, alignment, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure oversight to guarantee technical, schedule, financial and strategic goals are met.
- Develop, inspire, and lead a world-class team of semiconductor test professionals, and provide overall direction to the Team.
- Recruit, hire, manage, assess, support, and develop team members.
- Proactively plan and develop future needed skills.
- Integrate all technical resources needed for account success, including Asia and Israel.
- Train and ensure compliance with policies and best practices within team.
- Sustain and build personal relationships with our customers’ key technical decision makers.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with senior management, providing concise, structured status updates on customer health, execution status, risks, priorities, and resource needs.

- 10+ years of experience managing a semiconductor test engineering organization.
- A BSEE or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record of managing complex semiconductor test program development with a large global team.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire the team while creating a highly empowered organization.
- Strong hands‑on background in developing, debugging, and releasing semiconductor test programs into production.
- Demonstrated customer‑facing technical leadership experience.
- Ability to operate effectively in a global, multi‑site environment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical topics clearly to customers and executives.
- Proven negotiation, influence, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment.
