8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday
Is responsible for answering and directing phone calls received at the Practice, utilizing excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills. Greets and registers patients upon arrival. Checks insurance eligibility and loads accurate demographics in the practice management (PM) system. Collects co-payments, co-insurance and/or patient balances and posts those payments in the PM. Balances all funds and cash drawer utilizing end-of-day processes. Make appointments for patients as well as recall management. Checks voice mail, messages in the EHR and email. Responds to them in a timely manner, maintains current files ensuring ease of retrieval.
