Role
The Assistant Spa Manager supports the Spa Manager in overseeing daily spa operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and compliance with luxury wellness standards. The role focuses on team leadership, service quality, operational efficiency, and achieving departmental revenue and productivity goals.
Responsibilities
Support the daily operation of the Spa, ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest-focused service delivery.
Maintain luxury spa standards, treatment quality, and compliance with all operational, safety, hygiene, and wellness procedures.
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, therapists, and spa associates through training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve concerns promptly, and promote personalized wellness experiences.
Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to ensure spa facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, and the proper use of spa products and supplies.
Support revenue growth through retail sales, upselling opportunities, and treatment optimization.
Assist in budget management, productivity planning, and achieving departmental financial objectives.
Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in spa operations, with at least 1–2 years in a senior supervisory or assistant managerial role.
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Wellness Management, or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness programs, and luxury guest service standards.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Financial awareness, including budgeting, inventory management, and productivity monitoring.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with spa management systems is an advantage.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
