Community Health Worker Apprentice

The Central Health CHW Apprenticeship Program is a unique "earn and learn" opportunity for individuals seeking to become Certified Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Travis County.  As a full-time Central Health employee, apprentices (or trainees) will receive hourly pay, benefits, and hands-on training while completing the coursework required for CHW certification as required by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.  CHWs play a critical role in bridging healthcare access gaps, supporting patients, and advocating for underserved communities.
