The Information Technology department is currently seeking a part time employee to provide critical assistance in the Enterprise Applications division. The Part Time Assistant will be responsible for performing multiple Sierra-based functions including, generating and distributing daily Title & Item Page lists, monitoring/processing/updating patron circulation notices and responding to common patron & staff inquiries such as PIN reset requests.  This position also generates reports to help support the team and maintains other statistical information as required. The typical schedule for this position is 8:00am to 12:00pm

This is a part-time position. The salary for this position is $20 per hour for up to a 19-hour workweek.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry into Sierra

  • Process Offline Circulation files

  • Daily Suppressions/Global Updates

  • Daily Notice processing (Hold, Overdue, Title Page etc)

  • Daily system file archiving/Notice history

  • Daily Circulation activity reports

  • Patron PIN reset requests

  • Daily post notice cleanup including SMS/Email/Telephone optouts/reject

  • Gather Kiosk Statistics

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Familiarity with Sierra and its common functions is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook & Word

  • Good written & oral communication skills

  • Must be detail oriented and have great analytical skills

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, via email and phone

  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently

  • Must be punctual

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
