Job Description
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing & Engineering Manager.
What you’ll do:
Authority
Approve requisitions of manufacturing equipment, stops production and manufacturing processes if it represents a risk in our plant, participate on internal and external auditories.
Job Summary
This position is accountable of lead and develop the manufacturing and process engineering functions in this plant. Work on line balancing according to business necessities, transfer manufacturing processes, implement lean manufacturing and six sigma standars to reduce cost across the plant and drive operational excellence, support business growth, and ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Job Responsibilities
A. Lead the development, optimization, and standardization of manufacturing processes aligned with Eaton Business System (EBS).
B. Responsible on Manufacturing and Process for the entire facility
C. Project Manager (based on PROLaunch)
D. Monitor and improve KPIs such as OEE, FPY, productivity, and lead times.
E. Experience in the application of Lean Management Systems/Tools and Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and methodologies, including structured problem-solving concepts/tools (EBS tools)
F. Knowledge of ERP systems, including MRP logic and transactions
G. Production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control
H. To control the Prisma maintenance software for updating assets, parts lists, creation and deployment of preventive maintenance routines and work orders, training for different users.
I. Identify and execute cost-out initiatives and productivity improvements aligned with business goals.
J. Leverage data analytics and Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance process capability and decision-making.
K. Promote automation and smart manufacturing solutions to improve efficiency and reduce variability.
L. Collaborate with Product Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product launches.
M. Ensure execution of PFMEAs, Control Plans, standard work, and process validation activities.
N. Support root cause problem-solving using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma).
O. Partner with Quality teams on audits, certifications, and corrective actions.
P. Lead by example to promote Eaton’s Zero Incident Safety Culture. Ensure all processes are designed and operated in compliance with EHS regulations and Eaton standards. Drive risk assessments and hazard mitigation in manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Education level required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related to the area.
Bilingual Spanish - English
Years and area of experience required
7-10 years experience in manufacturing and process engineering.
Experience in the electrical industry or similar regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
Technical knowledge
Knowledge of safety regulations
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), and Eaton Business System (or equivalent).
Expertise in process validation, PFMEA, Control Plans, and problem-solving methodologies.
Experience with automation, industrial systems, and digital manufacturing tools.
Familiarity with ERP/MES systems.
