
Recreation Instructor II - Pickleball
Job Description
Supervision Received
Receives direct supervision from the Recreation Supervisor, and indirect supervision from the Recreation Manager.Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Instruct a variety of classes, lessons, and programs, teaching the rules and regulations of Pickleball.
- Register pupils for Pickleball lessons (and league programs, as necessary).
- Maintain records and files.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Pickleball.
- Procedures for developing activity-specific classes, programs, and special events
- Occupational hazards and standard safety precautions.
- Proficiently perform the skill you are instructing.
- Provide a positive role model for participants.
- Lead and instruct individual and group classes.
- React with good judgment in emergency situations.
- Complete work with little to no oversight.
- Work an irregular schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Adhere to Town and department-established rules and regulations, including workplace safety regulations.
- Pass an appropriate background check prior to the hire date.
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain within the state-required timeframe of ten (10) days within residency, a valid California, Class C driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain upon hire, current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/First Aid Certificate.
