Job Description

Departmental Overview

Compensation 

  • $22.00-$35.93/hr depending on previous work experience
  • $2.50/hr PRN premium
  • Evening differential $2.00/hr.
  • Night differential $2.50/hr.
  • Weekend differential $2.50/hr.

LDR is a 16-bed unit with a 6-bed OB Emergency Department, 4 antenatal testing rooms and 2 c/section suites.  LDR participates in AIM initiatives, PPH protocols with QBL, Severe HTN protocols, and Team Birth as well as multiple other process improvement initiatives. We have a charge nurse each shift to coordinate care. Daily safety huddles and bedside shift report are an important part of our unit culture. We closely follow AWHONN staffing standards for safe patient care.  LDR is part of a Center of Excellence in Advanced Perinatal Care Certification (ACPC), accredited through The Joint Commission. Our OBED is nationally accredited through CIHQ and is the only accredited OBED in the country. OBED is staffed by two nurses and an OB Hospitalist 24/7. New grads are welcome and supported through our nationally accredited nurse residency program.  Come join our team!

  • Assists the physicians to promote optimal patient outcomes
  • Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff
  • Responsible for personal continuing education
  • Maintains environment and instruments
  • Facilitates processing of patients
  • Provides clerical receptionist support
  • Performs additional duties related to specific needs of the department

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech, or LPN with one year of surgical tech training preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of Labor Delivery Recovery including assisting in Cesarean Sections (in addition to running the mayo) required in the last five years

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

 

 Licensure / Certification

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment
  • Current Oklahoma LPN license, if applicable
  • National certification is preferred
