Silicon Labs is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join the Application Engineering team. The Senior Application Engineering team acts as the bridge between customers and the R&D organization, delivering user guides, peripheral and application example code, and actively supporting customers throughout their entire product development journey from planning and design to development and certification.

What you will do:
In this role, you will primarily work with our cutting-edge wireless connectivity solutions, including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and other wireless technologies, helping customers build next-generation connected devices. You will also gain experience with our 32-bit Wireless MCU platforms and embedded systems while supporting customers in the design and development of innovative connected solutions.
The role also involves supporting applications related to location technologies, asset tracking solutions, wireless sensing, and edge intelligence. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to help optimize wireless performance, analyze signals, and support the development of intelligent connected systems.
Here is what your daily role will look like:
Actively help customers with their design and development activities
Create code examples, application notes, and quick start guides for wireless applications
Support customers working on location technologies, asset tracking, and wireless sensing applications
Assist with signal analysis, wireless performance optimization, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with IC design, software engineering, and marketing teams on product evaluations and new product definitions
Contribute to solutions involving embedded intelligence and machine learning fundamentals at the edge
Mastery needed for success in this role:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 6+ years of work experience in an applicable industry
Strong Python programming skills
Understanding of DevOps fundamentals
Strong C programming skills on embedded systems
Experience with embedded or real-time operating systems
Understanding of signal processing fundamentals
Basic understanding of machine learning fundamentals and edge AI concepts
Familiarity with wireless location technologies, asset tracking systems, or positioning solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
We consider the following experience as a plus:
Experience with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi)
Experience with Bluetooth direction finding, ranging, or positioning technologies
Experience with FreeRTOS and Zephyr
Familiarity with wireless signal analysis and debugging tools
Exposure to AI/ML frameworks or embedded machine learning applications
