We’re excited to announce that New World Te Atatū will be opening its doors August 2026, offering a new full-service modern supermarket and creating 100 new roles for the Peninsula.
Looking to join a team that values energy, initiative, and great people skills? We’re now hiring casual Customer & Stock Assistants to join the brand-new team at New World Te Atatu. In this role you’ll be working across checkouts, online and replenishment so if you thrive in a varied role and take pride in delivering stand out customer service, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a casual opportunity suited to someone reliable and responsive who can step in and add value when it matters most. Hours will vary based on store needs.
Te Tūranga – About the role
In this varied, hands-on role, you’ll be right at the heart of the store, supporting multiple departments to keep everything running smoothly and delivering a great customer experience.

Provide friendly, efficient service at checkouts, creating positive interactions with every customer

Pick and pack online orders with care, ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time fulfilment

Keep shelves fully stocked and well presented, ensuring customers can easily find what they need

Replenish grocery products and maintain strong stock rotation and freshness standards

Support with general store presentation, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

Work across different areas of the store as needed, showing flexibility and a team-first attitude
