Senior Contracts Manager
Role Context:
The Senior Manager, Procurement Contracts is expected to have a ‘hands-on’ and participative leadership style. Consequently, the activities listed may be undertaken by the Senior Manager, Procurement Contracts or members of an allocated team (if any) under the direction and management of the Senior Manager, Procurement Contracts depending upon circumstances.
It is important for the project that this person be experience and be able to demonstrate public procurement knowledge, ideally within an EPC project.
You’ll be:
· Substantially contributes to and advises on setting procurement strategy for works to be undertaken by third parties (including engineering and construction works)
· Preparation of Project Execution Plan, as related to Contracts Management
· Compilation of Request for Information and Request for Proposal (RFP) / and or Invitation to Tender/Bid (ITT/B) evaluation plans.
· Co-ordinating Technical Bid Evaluation.
· Compilation of award recommendations for approval
· Over see and be hands on with Pre & Post Award contract activities. "Post-Award" is used in this context as the activities which are performed between the award of the Contract and its close-out.
· Receiving all correspondence from contractors/subcontractors (including letters, TQs, NCRs, Site Instructions Variation requests, etc), initiates distribution, co-ordinates response and close-out.
· Closing out security documentation (e.g. Performance Bonds).
· Performs all activities in accordance with the Worley Way of Working and Worley Management System and ensures compliance by allocated team members
You’ll have:
· Experience following the EU Utility Directive/public procurement on large EPC (execute) projects.
· Extensive experience of managing third party procurement, subcontracting and contracting
· Extensive experience of drafting contracts and other agreements
· Extensive experience of managing pre-contract processes (including pre-qualification, preparation of Invitations To Tender, evaluation of tenders, selection and award of contracts, etc).
· Extensive experience of managing all post-award processes (project / contract set-up (including systems), general contract administration, correspondence management, change control, claims avoidance and management, final accounting, dispute resolution, etc).
· Extensive experience of published standard forms of contract (e.g. FIDIC, IChemE, LOGIC, NEC, etc) and bespoke forms of contract.
· Experience in the industrial engineering industry (e.g. mid-stream/upstream oil & gas, chemical, process plant, new energy and energy transition, etc.)
