Job Purpose 

Furnitureland South is seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to accelerate client acquisition and strengthen our sales pipeline. This role is responsible for identifying, researching, and engaging prospective clients, while nurturing relationships with existing customers to drive repeat and referral business. 

The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and energized by connecting with people. You will leverage AI-powered tools and modern prospecting techniques to uncover new opportunities, personalize outreach, and enhance overall client engagement. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation 

  • Conduct outbound outreach (calls, emails, digital channels) to engage potential and existing clients. 

  • Utilize AI tools and research platforms to identify, qualify, and prioritize high-potential prospects. 

  • Analyze customer data, trends, and behaviors to uncover new business opportunities. 

  • Client Engagement & Relationship Building 

  • Build rapport with prospective and existing clients to understand needs, preferences, and project goals. 

  • Deliver personalized, insight-driven outreach using AI-assisted messaging and research. 

  • Reinforce positive brand experiences through meaningful and consistent interaction. 

  • Pipeline Development 

  • Identify and create new sales opportunities through effective discovery and communication. 

  • Partner with the sales team to transition qualified leads into the sales pipeline seamlessly. 

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, engagement, and lead status in CRM tools. 

  • Referral & Growth Initiatives 

  • Promote and educate clients on referral programs and incentives. 

  • Actively contribute to expanding business through new client acquisition and retention strategies. 

  • Client Follow-Up & Experience 

  • Follow up with customers regarding orders, services, and overall experience to strengthen relationships and uncover additional opportunities. 

  • Proactively schedule and manage client interactions and appointments. 

  • Brand Representation 

  • Represent Furnitureland South at networking events, community engagements, and brand initiatives. 

  • Stay informed on products, services, and market trends to effectively position offerings.

Required Education and Experience 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 

  • 2–3 years of experience in customer service, sales support, or client engagement 

  • Experience using technology platforms and CRM systems preferred 

Preferred Education and Experience 

  • Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field 

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, client relations, prospecting, or sales 

  • Experience leveraging data insights or AI tools for identifying and engaging clients 

Working Conditions 

Professional office environment with standard office equipment (computers, phones, etc.) 

Physical Requirements 

Consistent with standard office roles, including communication, close vision, and occasional lifting or movement of materials.
