ZS’ R&D Excellence Practice brings together experts in Strategy, Clinical Execution, Data Sciences and Technology to empower client organizations achieve their passion for patient care, science and business success. Through our 'Lifecycle Evidence Strategy', 'Clinical Trial Optimization', 'Medical Affairs' and 'Real World Evidence' services, we deliver impact where it matters, from early drug development to commercialization. This role will be aligned with ZS R&D Excellence Practice Area supporting our Technology and Platform services across multiple clients.
What you'll do:
Serve as the primary onsite R&D technology consultant for clients
Act as the bridge between client clinical business teams and ZS global technology delivery teams
Manage day-to-day project activities, stakeholder communications, and issue resolution
Translate clinical business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications
Provide subject matter expertise in clinical development processes and associated technology systems
Facilitate workshops and working sessions with clinical operations, data management, regulatory, and IT stakeholders
Ensure alignment between business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology solutions
Monitor project progress, identify risks early, and coordinate mitigation across teams
Support solution validation, UAT coordination, and business adoption activities
Drive structured problem solving for complex, ambiguous R&D challenges
Collaborate globally with ZS and client teams across Europe, US, and APAC
Contribute to innovation initiatives and thought leadership within R&D Technology
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a European university (preferred) in, Computer Science, Business Analytics, MIS, MBA (with healthcare/technology focus)
5+ years of experience in consulting or industry roles supporting R&D / clinical technology environments
Extensive understanding of clinical business processes, including Clinical trial lifecycle, Study start-up and execution, Clinical data management, Regulatory workflows
Experience working with clinical systems such as - EDC (Medidata, Veeva CDMS, Oracle Clinical, etc.), CTMS, eTMF, Safety systems, Clinical data platforms
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures
Understanding of clinical data standards (e.g., CDISC), data governance, and compliance in regulated environments (GxP, GDPR)
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
Experience coordinating global teams and managing cross-functional workstreams
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical clinical stakeholders
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
Willingness to work onsite at client locations and travel within Europe or globally as required

Travel is a requirement at ZS for client facing ZSers; business needs of your project and client are the priority.
