Position: Account Manager, Bakery & Bars Location: This person must be located in the Greater Toronto Area.
Territory: Ontario, CanadaStatus: Full-time, permanent (1). This role is open to replace an internal promotion.

Join our team as we seek a vibrant, authentic, and driven Account Manager in our Bakery & Bars segment. We're on the lookout for individuals with a proven track record in the following industries: Bakery & Bars (primary preference), Snacks & Confectionary (secondary preference) manufacturing. Your territory will be in Ontario.
Reporting to our Sales Manager – Bakery & Bars, the ideal candidate will bring a strong sales experience with a technical background, to maintain and develop an established territory. The role involves traveling regularly within the assigned region and promoting Quadra's products and services. This includes the development and implementation of a team-based strategic sales plan based on a solid understanding of industry trends and customer needs.

Here are the main responsibilities of our Account Managers:
Strategic Account Management: Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with key customers, adhering to Quadra's core values and strategic vision to drive long-term partnership success.
Sales Development and Customer Retention: Proactively grow sales within the Bakery & Bars Segment by identifying and securing opportunities with new and existing customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.
Opportunity Pipeline Management: Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline by generating new opportunities, progressing existing ones, and commercializing wins to deliver growth in the territory.
Sales and Margin Objectives: Consistently meet or exceed annual financial, volume, and margin goals through effective territory management and customer engagement strategies.
Leverage Resources: Employ both internal and external resources to enhance Quadra's reputation for superior service and technical excellence in the Bakery & Bars space.
Product Sales and Promotion: Promote and sell Quadra's high-quality product portfolio and blending solutions tailored to the selected industries, engaging customers through site visits, joint calls, and participation in industry-specific events and forums.
Technical Troubleshooting and Optimization: Assist customers in resolving technical challenges and identifying optimization opportunities, ensuring their operations align with industry best practices and maximize efficiency.
AI & Digital Efficiency: Embrace and leverage Co-Pilot and digital solutions to enhance daily workflows, improve sales effectiveness, and drive smarter, faster decision-making.
Organizational and Multitasking Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities to effectively manage complex schedules and priorities.
Communication Skills: Exhibit strong presentation and written communication skills to convey technical and sales information effectively.
Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, addressing challenges with agility and resilience.
Customer Needs Assessment: Identify key decision-makers, assess their requirements, and align solutions with their goals.
Contract Negotiation and Closure: Facilitate new business deals by coordinating customer requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless contract integration.
Relationship Building: Build and sustain meaningful relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to drive repeat business and unlock new sales opportunities.
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively engage in cold calling and other lead-generation activities to expand the customer base.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Microbiology, Food Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the food industry, preferably within Bakery & Bars
Proven technical sales experience in food ingredients or food manufacturing
Strong B2B sales experience within a distribution or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and customer retention
Experience managing complex sales cycles and negotiating commercial agreements
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, Power BI, and CRM systems such as Salesforce
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Prioritize regular, in-person customer engagement (35-40%), with occasional overnight travel
Valid driver's license and passport

Compensation Information: The annual base salary for this position is expected to range between $73,400.00 and $114,700.00. Please note that this base salary range is provided for reference purposes only. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary represents just one component of our overall compensation package. This role is also eligible for a generous incentive program and comprehensive benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked against the market and determined by role and level. Final base salary will be aligned with the selected candidate’s qualifications, skill set, competencies, and work location.
