In this role you will report to the Director of Operations.
This role requires being onsite daily at our location in Sandusky, OH.
Essential Duties: Production Manager
- Direct and manage daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity targets.
- Execute production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including throughput, efficiency, scrap and labor Utilization.
- Lead production supervisors and manufacturing personnel to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Coordinate staffing requirements, training, and workforce development initiatives.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
- Manage departmental budgets to control operating costs.
- Drive accountability through performance management and employee development.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
- Lead and administer Engineering Change Notice (ECN) workflows, including review, routing, assignment, and implementation of manufacturing-related changes.
- Coordinate purchasing-related ECN activities by assigning tasks, distributing engineering drawings, and ensuring timely execution of required changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communication and coordination with external contractors regarding manufacturing engineering projects and initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans for all new equipment installations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects, adjusting schedules and resources as production requirements evolve.
- Review and process the manufacturing engineering portions of customer inquiries, quotations, and internal requests to ensure accurate production requirements and capabilities are reflected.
- Maintain and improve manufacturing job standards, including reviewing labor standards, validating production methods, and resolving discrepancies identified through shop floor tracking and reporting systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support operational performance monitoring, management decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary resource for operational and manufacturing data extraction, analysis, and reporting from Syteline ERP and other business systems.
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve system accuracy, workflow efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through data-driven analysis, process optimization, and implementation of best practices across manufacturing operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience
- Ability to utilize continuous improvement, lean methodology, approach to prioritizing builds and improve process
- Work with engineering and supply chain to meet production KPIs
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team to success now and in the future.
