Managing Consultant, Mining Project Manager

As part of ERM’s continued growth in the mining and metals business, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Latin America. This is a mid-senior level opportunity for a professional with strong commercial, organizational, and client-facing skills to support business development, proposal management and project delivery activities.

The candidate will be a project manager with established experience in large capital development projects. The candidate must have a technical background complemented by commercial acumen and exceptional communications skills to provide management support for our commercial leadership team.  

This person will be proactive, organized, and capable of leading proposal teams, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and client requirements. The candidate must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders, and should have experience in marketing, scheduling, pricing, and CRM tools such as Salesforce.

Role Profile

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Commercial partner engagement to support business development and identify new opportunities.

• Set up meetings with clients and internal teams to align project scope, deliverables, and timelines.

• Client meetings participation to strengthen relationships and providing strategic input.

• Action plan development to ensure structured execution of proposals.

• Proposal writing and management, including assembling resources, pricing, coordinating inputs, and ensuring compliance with client requirements.

• Salesforce management for pipeline tracking, opportunity pursuit, and pricing strategies.

• Marketing and communication support to enhance ERM’s visibility and client engagement.

• Monthly report writing to communicate progress of the Andean Mining Initiative to ERMs internal stakeholders.

While the focus of this position is commercial development, as a Project Manager you will also be provided with the opportunity to participate in the delivery of projects. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or social sciences, or in engineering combined with 7-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the mining sector. Preference will be given to candidates who also have education and/or experience in marketing and communications.

• Experience gained on projects in Latin America as a consultant or as a member of owners’ teams.

• Strong background in proposal writing, pricing, and commercial strategy.

• Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Preference for candidates who are already based in Latam, ideally in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead proposal planning and execution, ensuring compliance with deadlines and client requirements.
• Collaborate with consultants to develop strategies, budgets, and schedules for proposals and projects.
• Support commercial growth by identifying opportunities and assisting in client engagement.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive innovation in proposal development and project delivery processes.
• Prepare and deliver monthly reports on progress of the Andean Mining Initiative to ERMs internal stakeholders.
