Health Teacher (6-12)

Community of Peace Academy is an urban public charter school located on the East Side of St. Paul Minnesota serving over 850 students in grades PreK to 12. 2026-2027 is our 31st school year. We are seeking a Health and Wellness teacher for grades 6-12.

The Health and Wellness Teacher is a 6-12 specialist teacher position. The teacher will teach 3 high school elective classes - two sections of health and one section of CPR, First Aid and Emergency Skills, and three health and wellness classes to grades 6-8.

The qualified applicant will hold a MN Teaching license in Health Education, will possess the ability to develop rapport with young learners of diverse backgrounds, and demonstrate an unyielding commitment to helping all students attain high academic and ethical standards of performance.

At CPA, we place great emphasis upon building community and encouraging character development through positive relationships. Responsive Classroom is implemented across Elementary School and Developmental Designs is implemented across Middle and High School. In addition, all teachers are supported in their professional growth through weekly PLCs and frequent observation and coaching. As a new teacher to Community of Peace Academy you will be assigned a Mentor teacher.
