Physiotherapy Assistant

We are seeking a Full-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team, supporting two clinic locations in Calgary.

*This position is split between our Southland Leisure Centre and Bridlewood clinics, with an anticipated schedule of two days per week at the Southland location and three days per week at the Bridlewood location.*

As a Physiotherapy Assistant at Lifemark, you are an important member of our clinical team. You are responsible for assisting with client care as directed by a Physiotherapist, and for the maintenance and cleanliness of the treatment area and equipment. As a significant contributor, you are the type of person who will take pride in the thoroughness of your work and the strong relationships you develop with your clients and co-workers.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Assisting physiotherapists with client care; including the use of ultrasound equipment, exercise programs etc.
• Administrative duties, as required 
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Collecting outcome measure data
• Maintenance and cleaning/sterilization of medical equipment
• Inventory of clinical supplies

Qualifications:

• PTA diploma or Kinesiology degree preferred 
• Previous experience working within a clinic setting
• Personal, friendly demeanor with excellent relationship-building skills
• Kinesiology experience and/ or experience in teaching exercises would be considered an asset
