Compensation: $24.00 - $27.00 / hour

Summary:


The Bunkhouse Operations Coordinator will be responsible for all duties related to checking in, maintaining, and supervising the bunkhouse which could house up to 50 employees.  Other duties include maintenance of bunkhouse equipment and custodial duties. 


Key Responsibilities

  1. Bunkhouse Operations
    • Respond to tenants’ requests/problems in a timely and courteous manner and generate work orders directed to vendors or maintenance staff. 
    • Follow-up with tenants to ensure satisfactory resolution of the issue. 
    • Maintain property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints; enforcing rules of occupancy; inspecting vacant units and completing repairs; planning renovations; contracting with landscaping and snow removal services. 
    • Conduct periodic inspections of the property and tenant spaces to ensure compliance with leases and the proper upkeep of the property. 
    • Maintain building systems by contracting for maintenance services, supervising repairs. 
    • Ensure that there is 24-hour emergency coverage for the property at all times. 
    • Ensure that property and lease files are properly maintained and kept up to date in accordance with company policy. 
    • Prepare and maintain appropriate tenant lease files, records, correspondence and file notes. 
    • Determine and drive change in the organization to optimize efficiency. 
    • Be responsive to changes in project priorities. 
    • Enforce visitor hours. 
    • Enforce quiet hours. This includes doing daily (and nightly checks) of the housing if necessary. 
    • Work with floor ‘key holders’ to ensure that tenants are not locked out of their room and all rooms are in a safe, clean and livable condition. 
    • If new guests are checked in after the orientation, make sure they have access to all of the same materials, rules and knowledge. 
    • Perform any combination of light cleaning duties or oversee staff who perform this role. Duties include, but are not limited to making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms, emptying trash, and vacuuming. 
    • Keep all public areas of the facility clean including, but not limited to walkways, and outside area around the facility 
    • State law requires regular, unannounced fire drills are followed and evacuation route placards are attached to the interior of each room entry door at all times. 
    • Perform other duties, as assigned. 
  2. Office Administration
    • Greet visitors and answer telephones. 
    • Performs team member service support functions by answering team member requests and questions. 
    • Assist with setting up interviews and HR related appointments. 
    • Assist with recruiting, hiring events, and team member orientations. 
    • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (AS400, APC, Excel, and Word) to perform duties and responsibilities. 
    • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. 
    • Organizes and maintains retention of AR/AP files for required period of time. 
    • Fill in during vacations and absences of other admin staff. 
    • Keep inventory and order office supplies and business cards as needed. 
    • Collect payments and balance cash drawer daily, following company established cash handling policies and procedures for all transactions. 
    • Assist in planning office events and parties. 
    • Sort and route department mail. 
    • Pick up and prepare refreshments for monthly team events. 
    • Prepare and make deposits, send compile backup documentation for submission to corporate when needed 
    • Sort and scan accounts receivable invoices when needed. 
    • Match and post accounts payable invoices 
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.


What you bring to Pacific Seafood

Education and Experience
  • Required
    • Valid Drivers License 
    • Excellent organizational skills, positive, congenial, and good communication skills. 
    • Numerical aptitude and experience. 
    • The ability to maintain detailed, accurate, and legible records. 
    • Some mechanical experience is helpful. 
    • Verbal and written communication skills in English are required. 
    • Experience within the seafood industry is preferred. 
Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member:
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position 80% of the time, with intermittent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and/or crawling. 
  • Ability to move and transport documents, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations for different team members, departments, and events. 
  • Capable of occasional travel as required by duties, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in diverse locations. 
  • Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and printer. 
  • Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions. 
  • Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.

  • Office, as well as warehouse environment.
