This role focuses on the structural development of suppliers, addressing the core elements that determine supplier reliability:

The role is suited for a structured and rigorous engineer with strong quality expertise, mastering the industrial production process from order intake to delivery. With excellent interpersonal skills, the individual acts as a true change driver, supporting suppliers through a Lean approach.
Working closely with internal experts, the Supplier Development Engineer assesses supplier maturity by conducting audits, analyzing organization, and identifying risks and weak signals. Supported by sourcing strategy, he/she develops and leads high-impact development plans (including operational aspects), supports suppliers in transforming their practices, and ensures the effectiveness of implemented actions.
The suppliers covered include:
- New Arabelle Solutions suppliers
- Current suppliers with quality performance issues
- Strategic suppliers for the company
This role directly contributes to supplier panel maturity, nuclear supply chain reliability, and the success of Arabelle Solutions projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to and validate the global supplier selection strategy with sourcing teams
- Prepare, plan, and conduct assessment audits (ISO 9001, ISO 19443, customer requirements, internal standards) at supplier sites
- Evaluate and challenge suppliers’ organizational structure and processes to meet nuclear technical and administrative requirements; assess safety culture (organization, supply chain monitoring, competency management, process robustness, documentation control)
- Identify and mitigate gaps, weak signals, and risks affecting quality or safety
- Deliver structured and actionable reports
- Coordinate with internal technical experts for supplier-related actions
- Develop pragmatic and measurable supplier development plans (actions, deadlines, KPIs)
- Drive supplier maturity improvement through Lean coaching, follow-up, and effectiveness assessment
- Promote best practices while respecting confidentiality rules
- Develop and improve supplier qualification, maturity standards, and development programs, leveraging synergies within the EDF Group
REQUIRED SKILLS
Technical Skills
- Training or certification in nuclear safety / ISO 19443 is a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality, audits, or supplier development, ideally in regulated industries (nuclear, energy, rail, aerospace)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Strong command of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 required)
- Good understanding of nuclear safety culture
- Expertise in operational excellence in manufacturing
- Experience in QMS, organizational and process audits
- Strong knowledge of industrial production processes

PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus
