Position Overview

This role works with general direction to support operations of the Muni GIC and Stable Value lines of business, including but not limited to, data and cashflow entry into administrative systems and quarterly and month-end reporting of Muni GIC and Stable Value transactions for pricing and in-force risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Support Muni GIC operations and pricing by handling post-close processes and ongoing contract administration
  • Own the end-to-end process for principal and interest payments supporting the Muni GIC line of business
  • Communicate  with multiple cross functional teams including Finance, Legal and Investments to ensure that the Muni GIC cashflows are received and invested 
  • Review funding agreements for key contract terms used in administration and reporting of Muni GIC product
  • Analyze and produce  monthly and quarterly financial reports for Muni GIC product line, identifying trends and flagging variances. 
  • Calculate Stable Value crediting rates on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Perform Investment Guideline compliance reviews for Stable Value contracts and identify exceptions for escalation. 
  • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) with an emphasis in accounting/finance or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years financial services experience with an emphasis in accounting or financial reporting
  • Progress toward CFA or CPA  preferred
  • Intermediate SQL skills; Intermediate Query skills 
  • Intermediate oral and written communication skills; Ability to share and impart knowledge 
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to change; Ability to multi-task. Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives 
  • Takes initiative and is accountable. Basic goal setting skills 
  • Ability to read and interpret contract language, and to apply it appropriately 
  • Applies independent judgment to analyze complex contract terms and financial data; Must possess Investigative skills. Change initiation skills 
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting/finance. Demonstrate an understanding of accounting functions and impact on financial results. 
  • Ability to persuade others 
  • Ability to work independently and well within a team environment and participate in department projects

Compensation Range:

$66,740.00 - $94,800.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
