A Brief Overview
This role combines hands-on Life and Health claims expertise with responsibility for claims audits, client engagement, risk governance, and operational excellence. The incumbent serves as a trusted partner to clients and internal stakeholders, providing technical claims support, training, and relationship management. The role also drives continuous improvement through strategic initiatives, process enhancements, and digital transformation across the Claims function.
What you will do
- Handle the Claims assessment and related tasks in accordance with Treaty Terms & Conditions, RGA Standards, guidelines, Claims Philosophy and Claims authority.
- Render prompt, efficient and courteous services to clients and ensure timely and quality service standards are met.
- Perform the Claims Audits for the clients and complete the findings with insights into the required reports.
- Ensure clients fulfil claims assessment and management requirements for automatic business.
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, or service gaps in the day-to-day provision of claim service, audit program or claims reporting.
- Conduct/support meetings, training, audits, and other activities with clients.
- Building and maintaining relationships with the client claims team and other stakeholders to facilitate claims assessment and communication.
- Support training, and coaching to junior claims assessors.
- Assist in leading strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and process improvements to enhance claims operations and client service delivery.
- Drive system enhancement and digital enablement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of risk control, governance, and compliance frameworks within the Claims function.
- Review, validate and approve the Claims Bordereau within Claims Authority
Qualifications
- Solid technical knowledge and industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of claims experience in life & health industry.
- Proven ability to assess a wide range of Life and Health claims.
- Experience in risk management, governance, and control frameworks relating to Claims within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Proven experience leading projects, transformation initiatives, or process improvement programs.
- Well-developed analytical skill, including data analysis, reporting, and presentation of management information.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Capable of multitasking and delivering results.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or managing cross-functional projects, transformation initiatives, or process improvement programs.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and presentation of management information, are highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional qualifications such as FLMI and ALHC are an advantage.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
