About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with sales tax, use tax, and general tax compliance, along with proficiency in Oracle Fusion applications. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities Include:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with sales tax, use tax, and general tax compliance, along with proficiency in Oracle Fusion applications. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and oversee sales tax and use tax compliance activities to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Prepare, review, and file tax returns accurately and timely using Oracle Fusion systems.
- Analyze tax data and transactions to identify potential risks and opportunities for tax savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, accounting, and IT to streamline tax processes and improve system integrations.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders.
- Support internal and external tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to tax processes, policies, and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CMA/CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in sales tax, use tax, or general tax compliance roles.
- Proficiency with Oracle Fusion applications, particularly in tax modules.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
