Job Description
Summary:
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) collaborates closely with the General Manager (GM) to lead and supervise all aspects of campground operations. At the direction of the GM, the AGM is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all departments and ensuring efficiency. Responsibilities include assistance with staffing, inventory management, maintenance, safety, housekeeping, guest services, front desk, and recreation. In the absence of a GM, the AGM oversees the campground and communicates with the Regional Vice President.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consulting with GM to oversee daily business operations.
Assist the GM in achieving monthly and annual budget requirements.
Assist the GM with hiring and training a strong team and updating GM on team performance.
Coordinate with GM to implement marketing vision and to research and identify growth opportunities.
Prepare reports as required, relating to procedures, efficiency, scheduling, attendance, etc.
Provide great customer service while improving guest satisfaction and raising the net promoter score.
Good organization and time management.
Maintain property by following the quality assurance manual under the direction of the GM.
Operate campground and communicate with RVP in General Manager’s absence.
Directed by GM, monitor and implement the department safety program, which ensures that all OAK employees work in a safe and hazard free environment that complies with various local, state, and federal safety requirements.

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Hear and speak the English language fluently
Decision-making ability
Ability to motivate, lead and develop employees
Working knowledge of operational procedures
Comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Self-directed and active learner with strong decision-making ability
Proficient computer skills
Good organization and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in a supervisory or higher role in hospitality or related field
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Office work requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, computer, copier, keyboard, etc.
Must be able to lift 10 pounds regularly, lift and carry 25 pounds or more occasionally with assistance.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, push, pull, reach overhead and move safely over uneven terrain.
Use of repetitive motion, standing, bending, sitting, lifting, and walking.
Noise levels may be moderate to loud.
May be exposed to dust, pollen, grasses, landscaping, and various chemicals and moving mechanical equipment.
Use of personal protective equipment required where necessary.
Will experience occasional interruptions and shifting priorities.
Valid driver’s license required, this position may be expected to drive a motorized vehicle which requires close and distance vision, sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, etc. or travel by air.
