Location – Kirkconnell NSW

Employment type – Ongoing Full Time Opportunity

Salary -

  • Senior Psychologist - $124,771 to $135,527 pa                   
  • Senior Specialist Psychologist - $146,281 - $154,889 pa 
  • Plus Environmental Allowance, superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist / Senior Specialist Psychologist to join the team at Kirkconnell Correctional Centre, a  minimum security pre-release and reintegration facility located in the scenic Central Tablelands region of NSW, near Bathurst.

What you’ll do

 

As a Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist you will lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality psychological services for people in custody, provide expert clinical consultation and guidance within the multidisciplinary Service Integration Team, and oversee the day-to-day provision of care to ensure best-practice models are consistently applied. In this role you will shape the delivery of psychological services, provide guidance and support to staff, and assist men in custody as they prepare for a successful transition back into the community.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Minimum four-year accredited qualification in Psychology
  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Eligibility to be a Board Approved Supervisor (BAS)
  • Extensive expertise in correctional psychology, including risk assessment and delivery of evidence-based interventions
  • Proven leadership, supervision, and mentoring capability
  • Strong knowledge of ethical, legal, and professional practice standards

Eligibility for consideration of a higher commencing salary is subject to comparative assessment and demonstration of the  additional characteristics as defined in the Crown Employees Psychologist Award.
