What’s the role
Technical Asset Support (TAS) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell’s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAS provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.
In this role, you will provide technical support for various Businesses and Assets related to Data Management, Reporting & Digitalization activities. You will focus more on Subsurface, Wells and WRFM domain. Knowledge in Exploration and development life cycle would be very handy to perform this role. Skills related to Data Analysis Data Integration and Data reporting (using Spotfire, Power BI & Power Platform tools) is required.
What you’ll be doing
- Incumbent is responsible for supporting the development of technical models for projects collaborating with different business stakeholders & other partners and working across a range of technologies and tools.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Should be able to work on multiple projects collaborating with different Stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical teams, if needed
- Interact with business Stakeholders to identify key challenges and identify how data insights can be used to help resolve them.
- Deliver high-quality Data insights and Digitalization Projects by adhering to the Industry and Shell standards.
- Work in a collaborative team-oriented environment with the business and IDT to complete product development by assisting in the design, development, and testing of digital products/ Apps.
- Should be able to work on large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
- Integrating the end-to-end data pipeline - to take data from source systems to target data repositories ensuring the quality and consistency of data is always maintained.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with experience in oil and gas data management; a degree in Petroleum Engineering is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in digitalization tools and technologies such as Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI), Python, Azure App Services, and SQL databases.Good to have experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse analytics.
- Experience in developing data insights by extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from business applications/ data stores.
- Experienced in data extraction, data manipulation and data processing from structured and unstructured data using technical skills.
- Ability to quickly learn business, Asset ways of working and transform Assets requirements into efficient digital apps/visualization.
- Aware of the scrum methodology and agile way of working
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiently.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with people from all levels and from different cultural backgrounds
- Flexibility to move quickly across changing priorities.
- Confidence in delivering quick solutions that drives critical business decisions.
- Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions.
- Good communication skills and ability to understand new requirements and implement POC’s, if required
