About the role
The Engineer for the NPI Section (Portfolio and Transfer Projects) of the R&D Department is responsible for supporting New Product Introduction activities, ensuring smooth transfer and deployment of product and process changes from Business Groups (Manchester/Hamburg) to the ATCB Cabuyao Plant.
The role ensures compliance with BCAMX, QCM, and Change Control Board requirements while supporting manufacturability, quality, and cost improvement initiatives.
What you will do:
- Ensure adherence of projects to BCAMX (Business Creation and Management), QCM (Quality Change Management), and ATCB Change Control Board processes
- Handle Simple to Standard Track NPI projects
- Act as liaison between Business Group (Manchester/Hamburg), ATCB Change Review Board, QA, Management, and Operations
- Ensure completion of key deliverables per project gates (e.g., RACI, DFM, Release Checklist, CNP, MRAT, Qualification Report, Safe Launch)
- Deploy process and product changes into production lines
- Perform Safe Launch tracking and monitoring
- Plan required resources and logistics for project execution
- Support process/material/product characterization in manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with Manufacturing team on MVA/DVA for yield improvement, DFPC cost reduction, and process optimization
- Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers for manufacturability and timely delivery of projects
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, or related manufacturing industry
- Basic knowledge of Project Management fundamentals
- Familiarity with MS Office, SAS JMP or Minitab
- Knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, and DFM
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in 6 Sigma and/or 8D methodology is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure
- Customer-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability
- Willingness to travel if needed
