Part-Time Dyslexia Interventionist
Woodson Independent School District is accepting applications for a Part-Time Dyslexia Interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year.
Woodson ISD is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered educator to provide dyslexia intervention services and support students with identified reading needs. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of dyslexia, structured literacy, progress monitoring, documentation, and small-group instruction.

Part-Time Dyslexia Interventionist
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Texas teaching certificate preferred
- Required dyslexia training completed or willingness to complete required dyslexia training prior to providing services
- Training in an approved dyslexia intervention program preferred
- Knowledge of the Texas Dyslexia Handbook and dyslexia-related instructional requirements
- Ability to provide evidence-based, structured literacy intervention
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and special programs staff
The Texas Dyslexia Handbook states that educators providing dyslexia instruction must have documented dyslexia training, and TEA identifies specific training expectations for staff serving in dyslexia-related roles.
Responsibilities
The Part-Time Dyslexia Interventionist will:
- Provide dyslexia intervention services to identified students
- Deliver instruction using a district-approved dyslexia intervention program
- Maintain accurate records of student services, progress monitoring, and attendance
- Collaborate with campus staff regarding student progress and instructional needs
- Support compliance with dyslexia, special education, and Section 504 requirements as applicable
- Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Participate in required training, meetings, and documentation processes
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times
Schedule
This is a part-time position. The schedule will be determined based on student needs and district requirements.
