Responsibilities

The Software Engineer - Salesforce works closely with cross functional team members to develop, enhance, and maintain Salesforce-based technology solutions that support the needs of our associates and members. This role contributes throughout the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support. The position emphasizes building scalable, reliable, and well governed solutions within the Salesforce platform while aligning with organizational standards and best practices.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Lightning Flow, SOQL, and declarative platform tools.
• Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and external applications using APIs, middleware, and event based patterns; may collaborate with teams using Angular, JavaScript, and .NET technologies.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, QA, and business stakeholders to identify, diagnose, and resolve moderately complex application issues.
• Use Git to manage code repositories and participate in pull requests, peer code reviews, and version control best practices.
• Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to plan, estimate, and deliver high quality solutions in iterative release cycles.
• Create and maintain automated tests (unit and regression) to ensure code quality, system stability, and platform maintainability.
• Support Salesforce deployments using CI/CD pipelines and standardized release processes.
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements for existing Salesforce functionality as business needs evolve.
• Stay current with Salesforce platform releases, tools, and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into development efforts.
• Design effective prompts, evaluate and iterate on AI outputs, integrate Generative AI capabilities into Salesforce and engineering workflows where appropriate, and share best practices while adhering to ethical AI principles.
 
SKILLS
• Hands‑on experience developing and configuring solutions on the Salesforce platform.
• Extensive experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, and Salesforce declarative features.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and quality
• Proficient in using Generative AI tools to accelerate development and testing

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

• Ability to sit for extended time periods
• Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
• Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects


Qualifications

3-5 years of related experience

Education Level

General and business knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree
Certifications

Salesforce Certified Administrator preferred;  Salesforce App Builder preferred;  Salesforce Platform Developer I preferred;  Salesforce Platform Developer II preferred

Compensation Overview

We are excited to offer a competitive salary for this position. This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location. We believe in recognizing and rewarding talent, so our compensation packages are thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique qualifications and contributions of each candidate.


The minimum salary for this position is:

$82,000.00+/yr
Certifications
