Description

The Quality Assurance Analyst, Associate will join Infor's CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) team. This role is primarily focused on manual testing (80%), ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of a cloud-based application through comprehensive validation of new features, enhancements, defect fixes, and release cycles. The remaining 20% of the role involves exposure to automation-related initiatives.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and fellow QA professionals to deliver high-quality software that meets customer expectations.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to deepen expertise in software quality assurance while gaining exposure to emerging technologies and AI-assisted testing practices.


A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

  • Develop and execute test cases based on defined requirements
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues with clear and concise descriptions.
  • Collaborate with BA and development teams to understand requirements and ensure alignment with quality standards
  • Perform testing activities including feature testing (functional and non-functional), regression testing, and bug/defect testing 
  • Minimal exposure to automation using C# and AI-assisted testing
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback for product improvements
  • Utilize tools such as Jira and Zephyr for test management and defect tracking
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the QA team 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software testing principles, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Hands-on experience performing manual testing in web-based or cloud-based applications.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
  • Familiarity with defect lifecycle management and bug tracking processes.
  • Basic exposure to automation testing
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify risks and defects proactively.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical background with automation concepts
  • Exposure to object-oriented programming
  • Basic understanding of C#
