Job Description

Support and work alongside the Manager of Communications on various communications both internal and external to the College of Pharmacy. Methods include emailed newsletters, announcements, website updates, advertisements, public agendas, etc. Coordinate and work with various college staff on a variety of college activities and events throughout the year, including Convocation, PharmD White Coat, Student Orientation, State of the College, graduate seminars, PharmCamp, among others. Tasks include preparing materials, coordinating with U of A and external vendors, making orders, setup and tear down. Provides general administrative functions and assistance, which may include communicating with internal and external stakeholders, preparing documents and reports, compiling records, scheduling meetings, organizing and maintaining information, coordinating calendars, composing correspondence and other documents, analyzing data. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in coordinating communication materials and campaigns across multiple platforms. Ability to provide attention to detail in reviewing materials for consistency and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with moderate guidance. Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively with campus partners and team members regarding project status and communication needs. Ability to support communication and branding initiatives across multiple channels. Knowledge of and proficiency in project tracking and workflow management tools. Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite programs/applications such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
