OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT/SECTION
DIFC Branch’s Transaction Banking team is responsible for Product Development / Management and also Sales of Transaction Banking products and meeting Transaction Banking targets and Liquidity Management businesses in MENA region.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Job holder is a key member of the team responsible for MUFG’s rapidly growing Transaction Banking business in the Middle East region and is primarily responsible for –
Collaborating with GCIB / JCIB / FI RMs and senior TB Sales team members to support winning new TB business for DIFC Br
Preparing Trade Finance monthly reporting and keeping updated all internal / external Collateral needed for Transaction Banking sales / reporting in MENA
First / Second approval of TF transactions for processing, and Management of other day to day TF Front Office functions / responsibilities for GCIB / JCIB / FI to ensure best in class service delivery experience for our customers while meeting in full our internal Compliance and Control standards
Support USD Deposit origination by maintaining key customer contact, generating daily / weekly / monthly MIS required to manage the business, and providing any other required support for business origination as requested
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions*:
Collaborating with GCIB / JCIB / FI Coverage RMs and senior TB Sales team members to win new TB business for DIFC Br
Deal directly with Corporate customers and FIs for fulfilling all tasks relating to Front office functions for Transaction Banking business
First / Second approval of TF transactions within delegated limits, and Manage Front office of Transaction Banking business in MENA in accordance with the Bank’s rules and procedures
Coordinate / liaise with Operations team in Dubai and EOD London RMD, Compliance to manage correctly book all Transaction Banking transactions
Monitor business activity, financial performance, and risk related to Transaction Banking .
Preparation of RORA Pricing indicators, Process Manuals, Memos for Management circulation, Customer call reports,
Manage New Product Approval / waiver process, Initiatives relating to process improvements
Interacting with MUFG’s other Divisions outside the region (especially EIBD/CSTF, ETBO, TBD, EGMD), and entities outside of MUFG to execute responsibilities
Preparing and keeping updated all Sales Collateral needed for TB business in MENA
Preparing and keeping updated all internal Business Presentations
Support USD Deposit origination by maintaining key customer contact, generating daily / weekly / monthly MIS required to manage the business, and providing any other required support for business origination as requested
At the request of the Department Head and RMs, conduct tasks which are necessary to process / maintain transactions, including, but not limited to, preparing proposals, documentations and KYC.
Attending and supporting RMs in business screening meetings
WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential:
10+ years’ experience of Transaction Banking business in an international financial institution which has a strong presence in Transaction Banking .
Proven track record of adapting to different operating environment and market conditions
Experience of client sales covering GCIB / JCIB / FI customers and related sales management processes
EDUCATION
Min University degree or equivalent, and globally recognised industry certifications related to Transaction Banking business (CITF, CDCS, AICM etc).
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
Good technical knowledge across all Transaction Banking products, especially USD Deposits, guarantees, letters of credit, collections, and FI trade.
Solid experience with Transaction Banking channels and platforms
Good understanding of emerging Transaction Banking themes and technology
Good influencing and negotiation skills
Strong communication and able to operate at all levels – written, verbal, presentation material etc
Strong understanding of risk and market environments across the Transaction Banking spectrum – including credit, legal, compliance, operations etc
Reasonable understanding and personnel network of the Transaction Banking business in the Middle East and North Africa
Reasonable understanding of the Banking business and financial market in MENA
Fluency in English is essential, Arabic language skills would be an added advantage
