Job: MABM-Assistant Branch Manager - Lawncare Recurring (Branch Administration)

As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the overall performance and daily operations of the branch by partnering closely with the Branch Manager to deliver high-quality service, operational efficiency, and team leadership. This role plays a key part in managing field operations, supervising employees, supporting customer relationships, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. The Assistant Branch Manager helps drive branch success while preparing for increased leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations, including scheduling, service execution, and resource allocation.
Support supervision, coaching, and development of field supervisors and crews to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
Help coordinate staffing, hiring, onboarding, and training in partnership with HR and branch leadership.
Monitor labor utilization, job productivity, and operational performance metrics.
Assist with customer relationship management, including site visits, service follow-ups, and resolution of service issues.
Support budgeting, cost control efforts, and inventory and equipment management.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
Partner with the Branch Manager on planning for seasonal needs, weather impacts, and growth opportunities.
Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.
Act as a leader on-site in the Branch Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, landscape management, or a related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in landscaping, field operations, or a related service-based industry.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a labor-intensive environment.
Strong understanding of scheduling, labor management, and operational workflows.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and leadership.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Proficiency with basic operational systems, timekeeping tools, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and seasonal peaks.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in a multi-branch or multi-location landscaping or property services organization.
Familiarity with cost control, job costing, and branch-level financial performance.
Knowledge of safety programs, fleet and equipment management, and preventive maintenance.
Experience supporting customer retention and account growth initiatives.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Demonstrated potential for advancement into a Branch Manager or senior leadership role.
