Job Title: Chemist
Location: Rabigh 4
Job Summary
We are seeking a Chemist to perform laboratory testing, analyze samples, and support plant operations by ensuring accurate chemical analysis and compliance with quality and HSE standards.
The role plays a key part in maintaining optimal plant performance and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing
- Receive, log, and analyze plant samples in line with testing schedules
- Prepare accurate and timely reports of test results
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, MSDS, and laboratory procedures
Plant Chemistry Support
- Interpret lab results to support optimal plant operating parameters
- Provide technical support to operations teams on process performance
- Assist in internal and external audits (Quality, HSE) and support corrective actions
Laboratory Operations
- Ensure calibration of laboratory equipment as per IMS requirements
- Maintain sufficient stock of chemicals, consumables, and lab equipment
- Investigate and report chemical and analytical issues with recommendations
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all HSE policies, procedures, and environmental regulations
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of chemicals
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a laboratory role within power generation or water desalination plants
- Strong understanding of plant chemistry and environmental regulations
- Knowledge of lab equipment calibration and testing procedures
