Job Description Summary
The Digital Engagement Coordinator, under general supervision, assists with the execution of marketing initiatives that enable services, events and/or products to meet business objectives. Develops and implements marketing and engaging digital content in support of recruitment and general brand awareness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Content Creation
Create engaging content for social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & YouTube Shorts.
Support live event coverage through real-time social media posting, photography, and short-form video creation.
Recruit, train and lead the student content creator team.
Ensure content reflects the appropriate institutional tone, follows brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and platform best practices.
Strategy & Data
Assists in planning, developing, and scheduling social media content calendars aligned with organizational priorities.
Assists in planning, developing, and scheduling e-communications across platforms, including but not limited to, email and text messaging.
Monitor audience engagement and assist with responding to comments, messages, and inquiries as appropriate.
Track and report basic social media performance metrics including reach, engagement, impressions, and follower growth.
Maintain organized digital asset libraries including photos, videos, and graphics.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
Serves as a point of contact for inquiries related to social media and other digital communication.
Collaborates with campus departments, student ambassadors and MARCOM team to enhance digital storytelling.
Contributes to campus-wide social media and digital accessibility training.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
Three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years of content creation for a brand or organization
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledge of social media trends and audience engagement best practices
Knowledge of digital accessibility standards
Knowledge of SEO and digital discoverability practices
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff
Strong presentation skills
Working knowledge of office software and instructional programs
Skilled in project coordination in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instructing individuals and groups
Skilled in utilizing various learning and active listening strategies
Ability to orally comprehend and express information and use inductive and deductive reasoning
Ability to facilitate and adapt course and the course content
Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

A federal proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on new H-1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025. Texas A&M University-Kingsville will not pay this fee.
