Job Description
As a member of the Epicor Product Development team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative enterprise software solutions that empower customers across multiple industries. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications while contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include developing new features, enhancing existing functionality, modernizing legacy applications, building and consuming RESTful APIs, and extending our web and mobile capabilities. While our latest product development is focused on C#, .NET 8 (and above), ASP.NET Core, and Angular, you will also contribute to the maintenance and modernization of existing applications built on earlier versions of the .NET framework and Angular.
This role offers the opportunity to work with modern development practices, cloud-ready architectures, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and industry-leading technologies while delivering solutions that have a direct impact on our global customer base.
What You’ll Do:
· Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Epicor's enterprise software products using modern Microsoft technologies and industry best practices.
· Develop new features and enhance existing applications by delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
· Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
· Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards, design principles, and secure development practices.
· Develop and execute unit tests, perform integration testing, and support automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
· Build and consume RESTful APIs and contribute to modern web application development using .NET, Angular, and related technologies.
· Analyze business requirements and translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions for medium to large-scale projects.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues while ensuring minimal business disruption.
· Perform code reviews, participate in peer programming sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance code quality and development efficiency.
· Collaborate effectively with Product Management, QA, UX, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
· Contribute to application modernization efforts, including technology upgrades, performance optimization, security enhancements, and technical debt reduction.
· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
· Support CI/CD practices by participating in build, release, and deployment activities using established development and DevOps processes.
· Stay current with emerging technologies, development frameworks, and industry best practices, proactively recommending improvements that enhance product quality and team productivity.
What You Need to Succeed:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional certifications and relevant industry experience).
· 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software design, development, and maintenance using Microsoft technologies.
· Strong proficiency in .NET 8 (or later), C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and Web API development.
· Experience building modern, responsive web applications using Angular 15+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive UI frameworks such as Bootstrap or Angular Material.
· Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, stored procedures will be preferred.
· Good understanding of Entity Framework Core, LINQ, dependency injection, asynchronous programming (async/await), and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
· Experience with software architecture patterns such as MVC, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern, and SOLID design principles.
· Hands-on experience with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar version control and CI/CD platforms.
· Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, or Key Vault) is preferred.
· Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and basic knowledge of Kubernetes is an advantage.
· Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest, and mocking frameworks like Moq is a must.
· Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI will be preferred.
· Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and participation in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement practices.
· Knowledge of secure coding practices, application performance optimization, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
· Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
· Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing business and technical requirements.
