The Global Solutions Architect Job Overview:
The Global Solutions Architect (GSA) position is a technical leadership role supporting Sales on a particular area of specialization (AI here). Architects are typically assigned a technology area to focus on, such as Cloud, DevOps, Security, Artificial Intelligence or Service Provider.
The GSA’s primary function is to collaborate with Sales teams to identify appropriate F5 solutions to address customers’ business needs. They provide technical expertise and business acumen across specific or multiple industries. They champion our customers’ requirements and ensure they are understood by other teams within F5, such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Product Development.
The GSA also shares knowledge and educates the solution engineering team internally and externally via whitepapers, training, blogs, tech tips, presentations, and more.
To be effective, a GSA needs to have excellent technical skills and knowledge of F5 products and the “eco-system” in which we work. Fear not—we provide training and certification to keep abreast of these critical skills!
What will you do?
Work on strategic opportunities within the assigned area of specialization and provide technical expertise.
Play the role of an evangelist and thought leader in technical specialization.
Collaborate with other (Global) solution architects and internal business leaders to share ideas, identify common customer pain points and industry trends, and identify appropriate F5 solutions.
Advocate for customer needs, high-value everyday use cases, and innovative ideas from the field with product management and services teams.
Work closely with our internal product management and services teams and provide technical and business feedback for product design, architecture, launches, and updates that would benefit our customers.
Provide mentorship as needed to the Solution Engineering community in the organization.
How you’ll do it:
Experience playing the role of an evangelist, thought leader, and mentor in the field of AI
Liaison between Sales and Marketing, Product Management, Product Development
Experience working with strategic business opportunities globally.
Advanced knowledge of AI practices.
Advanced knowledge of cloud-native application design patterns (K8s, APIs, micro-services, service mesh, and more)
Advanced knowledge related to the delivery and security of LLM models for AI inference
Advanced knowledge of business outcome-focused architecture, engineering, and operations practices
What you’ll bring:
Experience speaking at industry/customer events, publishing whitepapers/solution articles, blogs, tech tips, and more.
Ability to effectively communicate and present technical concepts to executives and business leaders, tailoring the message to the audience's level of technical understanding.
Extensive experience making product demonstrations and technical presentations to technical and business leads.
Deep knowledge of F5 Solutions.
8 + years of related industry experience.
Relevant certifications are a plus.
BS/BA or equivalent work experience.

While we encourage remote/virtual meetings, the role could require travel up to 50% of the time, working across time zones.

The annual base pay for this position is: $215,000.00 - $322,600.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
