We are seeking a highly experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) to drive strategic client relationships and ensure the retention and growth of key accounts. This role is responsible for managing complex client portfolios, leading end-to-end account strategies, and delivering exceptional customer engagement through tailored solutions.
The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert with strong business acumen, capable of working independently, influencing stakeholders, and identifying innovative solutions to complex client and business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Retention
Implement Key Account and Client Management plans to strengthen and expand relationships with strategic clients.
Ensure high-quality customer service, proactively resolving issues to maintain strong client satisfaction and retention.
Lead client engagement activities, including identifying business needs, preparing proposals, and delivering tailored quotations.
Business Development & Growth
Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to grow existing accounts and maximize customer lifetime value.
Identify opportunities to expand services and solutions within current client portfolios.
Support the design and administration of programs and policies related to Key Account Management.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to orchestrate customer-facing activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
Lead industry-specific account management initiatives and best practices.
Process Improvement & Strategic Contribution
Lead or contribute to process design and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze complex business challenges and recommend actionable solutions and best practices.
Take a broad, strategic perspective to solve high-impact problems and improve operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
Influence and collaborate with internal departments, leadership teams, and external service providers.
Present strategic plans, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and company committees.
Understand stakeholder needs and provide consultative, value-driven solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to managers and junior team members.
Management Responsibilities
Operates primarily as an individual contributor with accountability for a key subject-matter area.
May manage or mentor a small team (up to 2 employees or contingent workforce).
Support knowledge sharing, coaching, and development of junior team members.
Provide guidance on processes, programs, and project execution.
Profile & Qualifications
Experience
8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Client Relationship Management.
Proven experience managing large, complex accounts and projects end-to-end.
Strong track record of delivering business growth and client retention.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience/qualification.
